This Mini Cooper D 1.6 Diesel is presented in metallic black with White roof and mirror backs. This car has covered 71,500 from new.
We purchased this car from the second owner – who had the car for the last 8 years – with a very rattly timing chain – this is a common problem on this BMW N47 Diesel engine and the fix takes some 14 hours – the customer did not wish to spend the money on the repair.
We carried out the fix – finding that the chain was very saggy due to the chain guides having partially disintergrated. The replacement chain is a stronger one and should last the life of the car.
